What is a Triathlon?
A triathlon is a multiple-stage competition involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance disciplines. While many variations of the sport exist, triathlon, in its most popular form, involves swimming, cycling, and running in immediate succession over various distances.

Event Instructions & Key Notes
Course Completion
Athletes must complete the entire course as designated.
Swim Leg
- There is no mandatory gear, but athletes may use their own goggles, swim caps, and tow buoys.
- Safety Note: Please do not make this your first open-water swim.
Bike Leg
- Helmets are mandatory.
- The Bib must be affixed to the front and back of the bike.
- Self-Supported Ride: Athletes must handle their own technical issues, such as tire punctures. Organizers are not responsible for providing technical assistance.
- Drafting: Athletes must not draft and must maintain a safe distance while riding.
- Traffic Notice: Route is open to ordinary Sunday traffic. Ride safely; volunteers will assist at key junctions.
Run Leg
- Race Number: Athletes must wear their race numbers visibly at all times.
- Pacing: Athletes may run or walk at their own pace.
General Notes
- Timing Systems: Manual timing will be used. E-certificates featuring your recorded total time will be provided.
- Course Markings: Courses are clearly marked to guide athletes.
- Safety Personnel: Medical and safety personnel will be present throughout the event.
DNF (Did Not Finish) Cut-offs
- 48Miles Triathlon: 6.5 Hours
- Olympic Triathlon: 5 Hours
- Sprint Triathlon: 3 Hours

Age & Gender Categories
Participants are categorised by age on race day (18 Oct 2026) and gender.
Choose the group that matches you — Under 45 or 45 and above — and you'll compete in the Men's or Women's division. Each category has separate Male and Female groupings.
Minimum age: 18 years on race day. Athletes under 18 require a signed guardian consent.
